This section provides examples of SPSS output for a general linear model. Imagine trying to build a GLM to predict monthly phone usage using a continuous variable, age, and a categorical variable, gender. Using GLM the model is built in SPSS, and age is removed from the model since it is not significant at the α = 0.05 level. The following three pictures of SPSS output illustrate a very basic process for building a GLM.
