R package for calculating estimates and doing simulation studies for adaptive cluster sampling. This is place for Dr. Wasita Boonsathorn's course material for her students. A foundation course discusses on the importance and functions of money, the impact of the monetary and fiscal policies on the money supply and how the financial markets and institutions allocate the money. The course also introduces the analysis of the financial statements, pricing of debt instruments, time value of money, interest rates determinants and international financial system. The course aims to introduce the students with an understanding of derivatives securities including financial futures, options and swaps. The focus is on the institutional aspects of derivative markets, pricing models, and hedging techniques. This is for the FiRM independent study. In addition, the computer code and data to replicate the results in the original paper students will upload here upon completion. Introduction to financial management by corporations, comprehensive overview from managerial perspectives, time value of money, management of working capital, planning needs for short-term and long-term funds and raising funds, stock and bond valuation, determination of cost of capital, and risk/return trade-off. Concepts and the uses of statistical and mathematical models for economic and business problems. Topics include measurement of numerical data, frequency distributions, probability, sampling distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, correlation, simple and multiple regression models, time series analysis, decision analysis, and selected topics in quantitative business analysis.
